The brass brackets can bend or break easily, which, in turn, prevents the plug from being closed. Also, if debris or things are left in the bottom of the boat, they tend to get stuck. Some users have complained the product broke after only a few uses, and that it requires constant lubrication for proper functioning. Moreover, some users have found that the product doesn't fit all hulls.
