Seco-Larm Lock Replacement Parts SD-995C Editorial Review
This electromagnetic strike is designed for metal doors, it may require modifications to fit wooden doors. It pulls 12VDC, 250mA and requires voltage to release the lock. The solenoid that actuates the unlocking mechanism is not that powerful. It will not release a door if the lock pushes against the strike in any way at all. It is best suited for doors that have two handles. It comes with short wires that make installation cumbersome when feeding those wires through the door casing. The strike works perfectly according to most customers and is durable and easy to use. The price is Considered reasonable, the product comes with detailed instructions and an adhesive template. Although it is not sealed it can be used on a gate if the electric components can be protected from wet conditions.
